Hazed & Infused

Hazed & Infused
Dry Ale
4.85% ABV

Jared's score: 86/100

Jared says: Poured from a 12oz bottle. Had to try this beer on sheer name principle alone. Honestly.....a good beer. Dry and hoppy like the name implies, but not so much that pulls all the spit from your mouth. can't really give you an idea of taste, didn't pick too much up, but it's crisp with a mild linger....good beer for Brats. Don't know if I'll run out and buy some more tomorrow, but a good beer for a BBQ, or poker night.

Duck Rabbit Milk Stout

Duck Rabbit Milk Stout
Sweet Stout
5.70% ABV

Jared's Score: 84/100

Greg Score: 90/100

Jared Says: Poured from a 12oz bottle into a standard glass. The was an interesting beer. Stout is not what I usually drink. This beer is brewed with milk sugar which breaks the heaviness of the stout, especially the aftertaste. Although the does beer does linger on your palate, it is really more of a smokiness. I am not accustomed to being able to see through a stout in my glass, but this was a good beer. I am not a stout drinker that is JT's wheelhouse, but I would buy this again.

Greg says: I am not a huge stout fan, but this is a good stout. It has a nice sweetness to it because of the milk sugar they use to make it. It pours a deep mohagany with a nice tan head. Has a slight bitter chocolate smell. Taste is nice and sweet with some chocolate towards the middle and some slight coffee in the beginning. I really enjoyed this beer. And its great at this time of year.

Allagash Tripel

Allagash Tripel
Tripel
9.00% ABV

Greg score: 85/100
Jared's Scoree: 90/100

Greg says: Poured from a 12 oz bottle. It poured out a hazy golden color with a thin head. Had a good banana, citrusy aroma. Had a similar tastes with the citrus and banana and a bit of yeast. A little alcohol at the end. The carbonation was light which made this very drinkable. I would definitely purchase this again.

Jared says: Poured from a 12oz bottle into a standard glass. I really like this beer! Lots of flavor, but sharp crisp flavor. Greg is right.....banana is definitely evident. To me it almost has a hazelnut hint to it. Very very drinkable to me...but this is the type of beer I really like to drink. I will definitely be stocking the fridge with some of this.

Shipyard IPA

Shipyard IPA
English IPA
5.80% ABV

Greg score: 70/100

Greg says: Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Copper-orange hazy color. It had a fruity and grassy aroma with a touch of hops. Taste was really hard to pick up. It wasn't like a traditional IPA other than the bitterness finish. Not something I can really recommend. It just wasn't special at all and there are dozens of better IPAs out there.

Redhook Belgian Tripel

Redhook Belgian Tripel
Tripel
10.20% ABV

Greg score: 90/100

Greg says: First off, I really don't like anything from Redhook. But I saw this and had to try it. The cashier even said the same thing as me; she doesn't like Redhook, but she really liked this. Poured from a big 22 oz bottle. Poured a carmel/golden color. Aroma contained bananas and some citrus. Initial tastes of malt and yeast and perhaps some apple. Finishes with some spice and alcohol, but not too much alcohol. I really liked this beer and hope to grab a few more as it is a limited release.

Smuttynose IPA

Smuttynose IPA
American IPA
6.90% ABV

Greg score: 85/100

Greg says: Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Pours a nice golden color. Smells of earthy/piney hops. The taste is pretty similar with a bit of bitterness that lingers through the finish. I would purchase this again.
