Greg says: Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a standard glass. Pours an amber color with a bubbly head. Has a bit of a pine smell with some slight hops. Taste is similar to the smell; citrus/piney. The problem I have is that it almost seems water down. There are no bold flavors that stick out. I certainly would NOT classify this as a double IPA. It's not nearly strong enough in flavors. This is really more of a Red Amber Ale type beer. Pretty disappointed considering Sweetwater's track record. I have another bottle that is aging in the pantry. Gonna give that a shot some time down the road. But I don't think I would buy this again. And that is saying a lot because Sweetwater is one of my top 5 brewers.
